Diverse Learning and Additional Needs

St Anthony’s provides many programs and specific interventions to address and cater to the diverse learning needs of our students. These include:

Students with a formally diagnosed need attract addition funding to support their learning. These students have personal Plans (PP) developed for them in partnership with their parents and teachers. Regular meetings are held with the parents and the classroom teacher to discuss the student's progress and future needs. A copy of the IP is provided to parents.

Children who require some extra support but not meet additional funding criteria are also supported. Teachers meet regularly with the school’s Learning Support Coordinator to identify needs and design specific interventions for children. A plan is developed and parents are notified in writing of the plan. These plans are reviewed each term.
