Assessment and Reporting

square assessment

Assessing is the process of collecting, analysing and recording information about student progress towards achievement of syllabus outcomes.  An important purpose of assessment is to design appropriate learning programs for all students.

Assessment is used for learning, to identify the areas the child needs to develop.  It is also used at the end of a program of work to establish the child's knowledge, skills and understanding.

Reporting at St Anthony’s is a critical element of the partnership between home and school.  A brief Student Update Report is issued at the end of Term 1 and 3. Semester Reports are provided at the end of Term 2 and 4. Parent/teacher interviews are offered to coincide with the Semester Reports. Parents are welcome to make appointments with teachers at any mutually convenient time to discuss their child’s learning.
